Budget blown :( Cries…

I think I just flat out blew my budget for these two months for a number of reasons:

1. I bought my sister a laptop. I don’t regret it because she needs it for school, but I wished someone would offer to help me co-fund it. I guess it’s impossible. I may not be the sole breadwinner in this family of six, but I earn the most.

2. There was Mothers’ Day. I splurged on a IMAX 3D version of the Amazing Spiderman 2 for the six of us, my grandmother and an aunt, where I spent my time in the theater tearing because 3D IMAX is torturing my eyes. I don’t think I’ll ever watch long 3D movies anymore, they hurt my eyes. I also splurged on lunch at Eat at Taipei, which was only so-so. I have heard about that, but with eight of us with no reservations, I’ll just take any restaurant that offers enough seats.

3. My post-practicum celebration of Teoheng KTV and scrapbooking workshops. And my splurge on scrapbooking materials. I was so happy it was over; I really went crazy. And another planned family outing to the 2 Degree Ice Art Exhibition.

Fun stuff to look forward to

Been a long time since I’ve written anything here, since I’ve been busy with my 10-week practicum. All the warnings about potential sleep deprivation – take them seriously, it will happen. This is the Monday of Week 10, and I’m looking forward to the end. And I’ve planned a good number of activities as celebration, especially since it coincides with the end of my brother’s exams. Soooo looking forward to the family weekend date of KTV and the Amazing Spiderman 2 at the IMAX at Jcube. Hopefully, I’ll be able to convince everyone to have dinner at Ssikkek Korean BBQ. So looking forward to good food and entertainment. Haha, was toying with the idea of going to the CNBLUE concert on this Saturday as a treat to myself, but totally forgot about it and booked the KTV room. Which is a much cheaper form of entertainment that includes the whole family. Not a bad deal, eh?

Talking about Spiderman, I’ve been watching a lot of superhero films recently, trying to catch up so I can plan my lessons for the superhero films modules I’m going to teach the next term. Henry Cavill is HOT, lol. I was trying to place his accent when I was watching it since he didn’t sound American. Did some research and it turns out that he is British. I’ve also watched Iron Man, planning to re-watch Batman Begins and Amazing Spiderman next.

My upcoming plans:
– Camping
– Workshops for papermarket
